Sure do miss being there… loved both the morning and evening long slow walks, sun gazing, sunbathing, getting some forest therapy, meditating, and breathing in the fresh air… all without the need to wear a mask even…
Lake Gardens in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is one of the places I visit every once in a while, even today, to connect with nature and reflect on old memories each time I see this nostalgic place.
It was also my first ever location to practice shooting videos in 2011. I explored this peaceful nature spot on foot for three days to experience those scenic sights up close and personal.

It was exhausting but fun and exciting all at the same time.
Freedom is the right of all sentient beings
Lake Gardens has the world’s largest walk-in aviary called KL Bird Park, which features more than 200 species of birds. It also has a Butterfly Park, a Deer Park, Orchid & Hibiscus Gardens, the National Monument, and some popular Museums.
While some animals can roam free, some are kept in cages – I’m not sure why. I wish those caged and confined animals were also set free or, perhaps, sent to a sanctuary so that they could experience freedom as we would want for ourselves.
It’s been a couple of years since I last visited this garden, or any garden for that matter, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Sure do miss being there… loved both the morning and evening long slow walks, sun gazing, sunbathing, getting some forest therapy, meditating, and breathing in the fresh air… all without the need to wear a mask even…
Hopefully, I will get another chance to be there again one day.
